CCA Retrieving Series |
Retrieving Series Concept Spring & Summer The format for the retrieving series is for a dog to compete against other dogs, of similar breed and talent, on a predetermined course in which the requirements can be practiced prior to the competition. The course will consist of two retrieving stations, with varying length retrieves at each station, on various terrains to include the possibility of water. Each dog will have an opportunity to compete on the course multiple times and the dogs that can satisfy both station requirements will be awarded a passing score and will receive a ribbon. The dog with a passing score, and the lowest two-station accumulative time, is the overall winner. The dog has the ability to control the clock through their abilities in obedience, marking, and speed. The top dogs at the end of each level of competition will be invited on to the next level of competition which will end with a seasonal championship.
